The Real Estate industry in the Middle East is freaking booming, I’m a regular visitor to the PR Newswire at AMEInfo and I kept noticing daily press releases on Cityscape Dubai, wither by the organizers or by the exhibitors, so I decided to count them, and I found out that almost 130 press releases were issued this month, October 2007, about this exhibition; 70 press releases were circulated in the last three days, wow, what a clutter!

For those who don’t know this exhibition, well I guess after this huge number of press releases we all have an idea about it, Cityscape Dubai is one of the biggest Real Estate exhibitions in the world, if not thee biggest one. Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to attend, I’m sure it will be impressive; I was really amazed when I visited the PropertyLink exhibition here in Amman, which is a relatively a very small exhibition compared to Cityscape Dubai, so I’m sure this one is much more impressive.

From a media perspective, I don’t know how PR agencies managed to circulate those press releases into the media and what is the size of the coverage gained, I mean in online media this is not a problem, it’s an advantage; more press release means more content, which means more traffic and more inventory for the advertising, but for the offline media the space is very limited.

At the end, I believe that Real Estate is the fastest growing industry in the Middle East, but no one is sure where it is going, I mean billions and billions of dollars being invested in the most unstable region in the world, kind of risky, I guess.
