The 2007 International Emmy Awards
Now is the time to submit your programs for the 2007 International Emmy Awards-the most prestigious award in international television programming.
Presented by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the International EmmyR Award was created in 1969 to recognize excellence in television programming produced outside of the United States. With more than 500 television professionals on the jury panel, three rounds of judging and entries from more than 35 countries, the International EmmyR Awards provides worldwide recognition and exposure to its nominees and winners.
Entries for the eleven Award categories are now open for submission online here. Deadline is March 12, 2007.
Entries produced and originally broadcast outside of the United States can be submitted in the following categories:
For Performance: Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor.
For Programs: Arts Programming; Children & Young People; Comedy; Documentary; Drama Series; Non-Scripted Entertainment and TV Movie/Mini-Series.

The 35th International EmmyR Awards Gala will take place on Monday, November 19, 2007 in New York City. This star-studded event is preceded by the 2007 International EmmyR World Television Festival which screens the International EmmyR-nominated programs and features the world-class producers and directors who speak about their work.

The International Emmy Awards is not prestigious nor is it important. If it were even close to being prestigious, any of the major US or European TV channels would have aired it, just like the Oscars, or Emmies, or whatever.
