Online advertising in Jordan

The best thing about online advertising is the high conversion rate that you can get, meaning when the audience is exposed to your advertisement they are one click away from an endless opportunities of interaction with your brand; they can learn more about your company, and consume your products and services. Not any other media can offer this.

I was really disappointed when I came across this banner on AlGhad website, the banner was like a dead-end, it wasn’t clickable and the worse part is when they mentioned “for more details pleas visit our website”, so stupid. You can simply have a clickable banner the re-directs to a landing page with more details about that product/offer.

I was expecting better advertising strategies from Orange, which is one of the top telecommunication brands in Europe if not in the world, but seems like it will be as any other regular advertiser in Jordan.

Jordan is the land of online media and service providers; starting from Arabia to Maktoob, AlBawaba, souq, Araby, d1g, Jeeran, Ikbis and cashU. All successful examples in the online media industry was created and developed in Jordan, but when it comes to online advertising we are falling way behind, unfortunately.

New buildings-numbering system in Amman

I noticed large bilingual numbers on few buildings and houses in Amman, is it going to replace the old numbering system?

We really need a proper numbering system for buildings in Jordan; the current system consists of a small plate that contains the number in both Arabic and English. Few of us are using it; personally I used it only for food delivery as they ask for it.

Currently buildings are not ordered probably; for example the building number 5 could come in-between of building number 19 and 11. I guess even if we had really big numbers still they are not ordered and you will find yourself wandering around to find an address.
