French Concert on 16/12/2006
Le Quartet Kerdoncuff and the Jordanian musical group Nawazeen will play live at Al-Balad Theater this Saturday 16th of December 2006 at 8:00 pm. Tickets are sold for 3 JD’s at the venue. For more details pleas contact the French Cultural Center on +962 6 4612 658. The group will play live in Irbid city at Al-Hosn Cultural Center this Thursday 14th of December 2006 at 6:00 pm, entrance is free of charge.

It’s a mix between Classical Oriental music and a traditional European musical style called Britton, I guess it is a little bit similar to jazz, from the instruments they will be playing I guess it sounds interesting; I like Qanoun, Oud, Chant and Violin so much.

Being a source of information makes you liable to send it accurately… Mixed messages only confuses people… I just lost interest in attending, thanks!

My friend Jazzar, you always seem to miss the point and prove mine. I prefer to stick to things I know about, and honestly I don’t know the difference between the three types of music mentioned, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not aware of an existing difference… If everyone acted like me, and only commented on things they know about, this world will be a better place for everyone… Beam me up Scotty

Not knowing the difference doesn’t mean that I’m not aware there is one… The thing is, I’m aware, I was hoping you are too… When you confuse oriental with European with Jazz music, this is an indication that you are not aware of the difference, I am… As I stated, you have an obligation to know the material of your blog to be able to discuss it…

First of all I said that the European style might a little bit similar to jazz, not the oriental. And second if I brought to you 2 photos you will be able to locate the difference if there is any but it is obvious that you just like to argue. And good night.

LimgaleI really respect your point of view but again through constructive criticisms and sharing point of views we can all reach to our final goal, which I believe correct information, so may be you can recommend some musical references that we can use or you might have used before to all be accurate in our debate

I shot some pictures in one of the rehersals the other day, and i was really happy with what i heard. There is a nice mix of Elia’s composition and old britton lyrics and chants. They have deconstructed some of the older pieces and created an interesting fusion. I’ll be there tonight with my cameras. Say hi.
