Amman City Blog Official Launch

I really admire Amman Municipality for taking the initiative of having a blog, according to the press conference that was held earlier today, Amman is the first city in the Arab world to tap into the blogging world.

The blog looks promising, it will be a direct communication channel between the citizens and the Municipality, and hopefully it will attract more Jordanians to read and interact with the variety of topics that concern each one of us.

The design is neat and reflects the “look & feel” of Amman Municipality, and is equipped with social bookmarking buttons to spread the word out.

I believe it might be good to have an English interface with English-language posts just to showcase achievements and improvements in the city to a wider audience.

Congratulations to the Municipality and to Jeeran on the launch. Check the blog out.

Funny sign, and weird telecom pricing

As a start, congratulations to **** Link for the new opening, I really envy people there for the best prices and offers available exclusively there ;)

It’s a funny sign in front of a mobile shop in Amman, I noticed few mistakes, they made a mistake when they wrote “Umniah” as “Amineh” :) . Then the guy decided that Zain should be called Fast, not even Fastlink (the old brand name) :D . If you also look they wrote Fast twice then they used the dashes as a shortcut for a repeated word, usually the word is written once then the dashes are used, but anyhow not a big deal.

What is weird about the sign is the pricing, the same credit value is being sold for three different prices, does this mean that each telecom operator has a different sales and telecommunications tax?
