Jordan events | Swedish film on 17/9/2006
The Royal Film Commission is pleased to invite to enjoy the Swedish Film Month at the Royal Film Commission Terrace every Sunday during September 2006.
“ZOZO”, a Swedish film that will be screened next Sunday 17th of September 2006 at 8:00 pm at the RFC terrace. Invitation is open for everyone and the entrance is free, Arabic, English and Swedish subtitles are available.
Based on director Fares’ own experiences, Zozo (Imad Creidi) is his young counterpart, growing up in Beirut during civil war. On the eve of their emigration to Sweden, his entire family is cruelly dispatched by Lebanese militia, leaving Zozo to make the journey alone. With a soap opera script and scenes of clichéd magical realism clumsily shoehorned in wherever possible (talking chickens, Zozo’s daydreams, etc.), it’s a simple story told with an alarming lack of originality.

To reach the RFC you have to go to the first circle “AlDowar AlAwal” in Jabal Amman, and then go straight into Abu Baker AlSedeeq Street (known also as Rainbow Street).
Keep going straight you will pass:
- Saudi Consulate.
- British Council.
- Falafel AlQuds.
- R n’ B restaurant.
- Batata restaurant.
And before the end of the street you will find the street that leads to Books @ cafe on your right and on the other side there is a street leads to The Royal Film Commission.
