Jordanian feature film: Captain Abu Raed | Now Hiring
Amin Matalqa’s first feature film, Captain Abu Raed, is in pre-production with a planned 4 week shoot that starts May 22 in Amman and Salt, Jordan. They are looking for anyone passionate about any part of the filmmaking process. If you’d like to train, intern, work as a runner, assistant and be part of this amazing Jordanian production, please email me asap.
Some jobs are paid, some are not paid, but they will feed you. Recruiting and hiring is immediately. For all, an awesome experience is guaranteed.

I am looking forward to Amin’s film.
The last Jordanian feature film was in the 80s and it was called Oriental Tales starring Mohamad Qabbani and written by Adnan Madanad and directed by Najdat enzoor. But the sad part is that small countries like Lebanon or Palestine produce 5 or 6 features a year. Morocco produces 10 features a year. in the history of Jordan, less that 20 feature films have been produced since the 50s when the first Jordanian film Struggle in Jarash was produced. it was a romance/mafia/action movie made with private funding.
