Independent Film Making on Independence Day in Aqaba
The Royal Film Commission invites you to celebrate Independent Film Making on Independence Day in Aqaba. All filmmakers are invited to contribute in this event by submitting their own films to the public screening at the Revelation Square on 25th of May 2007 at 8:00 pm. Submission deadline is 15th of May 2007. A committee from the RFC will choose 10 – 15 short films that best reflect Jordanian creativity.
Submission requirements:
* That you own the right to the film
* That it is of sound technical quality
* That you submit your short film on DVD

Is this for real? a non-democratic government entity sponsors an “independent” filmmaking day. This is like Israel sponsoring Human Rights Day. What a bad idea for the RFC.
