Blast from the past… Random photos of Aqaba in early 1960s

Amazing photos of Jordan’s port city, Aqaba, I’ve found them in Al-Arabi magazine, issue 58 - October 1963.

Kia Opirus | Luxury Revealed

Another interesting use of media from Kia, however it needs improvement, I guess if they added some text in the white area around the car it would be perfect. Here is the first one.

Oops! Is it another copycat work from a big Jordanian agency?

From the agency that brought you the Cozmo copycat incident, an amusing start for the week, right folks! Enjoy!

This ad was the only shortlisted Jordanian ad at Dubai Lynx 2008, boy I remember reading a press release by that agency celebrating this big achievement. Before I start, I want to second the message: Let’s not ruin the image of Jordan. Don’t litter. Yes ladies and gentlemen, please keep it clean, throw the garbage in the proper place.

Now let’s take a look at the visual, this is one of the main streets of the ancient city of Jerash, one of Jordan’s most renowned historic sites, as you can see the columns are made of garbage, what does it suppose to mean? When you litter, yes you ruin the image, but you don’t change the core.

Here is the fun part, a good friend of this blog, a great guy, pointed out that this ad is a copy of these two ads created by Ogilvy & Mather in Romania, the ads were found on Ads of the world, and were submitted back in June 2007, some people suggested that it was done before by Leo Burnett Mexico, and Springer & Jacoby in Germany, not sure. The message on these ads says: Nature Can’t Be Recycled.

Dude, thanks a lot! :)
