Shiites are invading Jordan.
Clarification: It seems that many of people who read this post misunderstood me, I’m not racist I’m not against the presence of any one on this country and I do believe that mixing cultures will lead to an interesting population. But I do believe that Shiite are loyal to Iran and they will form a tool for Iran to interfere in Jordan. And I want to make it clear that I’m against any Israeli/American domination over this region and I’m also against any Syrian/Iranian domination of this region.
To me Iran (Shiite) is just as evil as Israel (Jews) even more danger since they are considered Muslims. Iran have a deep influence in many Arab country and they use it to interfere in the internal issues of these countries through the blinded-loyal Shiites in these countries; Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain leading to an Iranian expansion in these countries. Iran is a cancer that is spreading in Arab countries but didn’t hit Jordan, Palestine, Egypt and North African countries yet. I guess we all noticed the growing number of Iraqis & Syrians living in Jordan, have you ever asked yourself what they are doing here, you might think Iraq is occupied and Iraqis had to leave, but why they didn’t go to Syria or Lebanon or any other country, and what about Syrians, I guess Syria is a big country, they have oil, water, agriculture, industry..etc why would they leave it.
I believe such people who came to live in Jordan are somehow creating a gateway for Iran to interfere in Jordan, add to that the last war on Lebanon led by Hizbollah (Shiite) made people all over the Arab world likes Shiites and believe in their doctrine. On the other hand Hamas is now a strong ally to Tehran which as well considered a dirty interfere in the Palestinian issue.
Iran and Syria used to talk about freeing Palestine and destroying Israel but its all just talk, Lebanese, Palestinians and Iraqis are being slaughtered everyday while Iran & Syria are watching. What are the objectives of Iran; should we all go out every year and start cutting ourselves to express how much we are sad for the death of Ali Ben Taleb 1,400 years ago? Should we all start cursing Prohet’s accompany? Should we all be slaves to Ali Ben Taleb?

I do not like the bloody celebration customs of Shiites, but I do not mind living with them as friends and neighbors.
We are totally different people from totally different cultural and this what we should get used to in Jordan, Jordan isn’t the Jordan you used to know anymore, Jordan doesn’t consist of Jordanian, Palestinian and Egyptian workers anymore.
Pragmatically speaking we have either to get used to seeing strangers (whom might own in Jordan more than us now) or to live in isolated containers together or maybe leave Jordan, Nevertheless, I guess there is no serious reason for the second and third solution yet.

Anyhow, but that was Iran, not the Shiites in Jordan! no one is planning to invade no one, ?they are wanting to live in piece, and Jordan is a good place for it… that’s it.?
We can say that some of the consequences would be a permanent existence for them ?around here with a full right of practicing their religious traditions as they want, and ?THAT IS IT!?

We need to evolve people.

I disagree with you 100% in all of your points, Iraqis are in Jordan because sharks are the ones who make decisions in Jordan, the fat pockets of the Iraqis are what made them welcome in Jordan, it’s not a conspiracy to invade Sunnis for God’s sake!
Take a second to breath here, Iran will look as bad as Israel to you because you look at it from the official perspective through its media, Jordan my friend is a blind follower to the US (in case you haven’t noticed!) and the US considers Iran to be as evil to it as Israel is to you, the Jordanian official stream will have to follow that and is forced to feel threatened from Iran and from Shiites, hence, you’ll find articles like that you mentioned, and you’ll see official figures warning from a Shiite threat ( like what King Abdulla did for example in one of the most controversal speechs ever!), taking “anti-nationalist” stands in cases like between Hezbullah and Israel, or like rejecting Hamas. If you feel so bad about allying with Iran because it intereferes in the internal issues of countries, then, what do you feel about Jordan allying with the US and Israel and their interference with every internal issue of ours?!
By the way, it’s obvious that you don’t know much about Shiites (it was Al Hussein who was slaughtered not Ali!) try to read more about them, and at the end, no one forces no one to follow any belief!

Pleas someone tells me what Iran did so that you defend it like this, did they strike Israel at least once like Saddam once did? What did they do to support Lebanon in the war and why they didn’t interfere? Why did their president stated at the beginning of the last war that any strike on Syria is a strike on the whole Islamic nation and we will respond, doesn’t he consider Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq part of the Islamic nation?
And for those who are defending Shiites principles, most of them consider that Mohamed (PBUH) became prophet by mistake, some of them even say Ali has been betrayed and he was supposed to be the prophet even that he was 10 years old when he became Muslim. If you search more some of their Shakes consider Ali a partner with god in Heaven and Hell.
Prophets accompany died 1,400 years ago and Shiite shakes still cursing them saying that they are danger on Islam, how is that they are dead long time ago.
The conflict is much deeper than you think, it’s not a war between Israel and Hezbollah, or Saddam against the Americans, believe me it is much much deeper and I guess days can reveal.

the article was shocking To know the jordanian security is actually pursuing and possibly torturing Shiite jordanians and iraqis because of their religious beliefs is horrific and utterly repugnant. But I guess this is where the US stomach for reforms ends and where its true nature shows. not one word of protest from the white house, who are quick to denounce anti-semitism, but seem content when a sidekick enages in religious persecution. so long as the persecuted are disliked by the US and West.
We are witnessing the dark ages descend on Jordan where people are being persecuted for their beliefs. Not only did democracy never materialized in Jordan, now freedoms of the press and relaxed only to allow hate to propagate.
Will there be a violent backlash to this persecution? I think this is the desired outcome. and common jordanians will suffer again so some sick bastard can make a case against the shiites and mobilize the public opinion. we know the inhumne tactics, been there. these people are crude and brutal, and they will have no qualms to use the suffering of Jordanains for political ends.

I read your blog and its full of Western symbols. Fine. But where it matters the most such as tolerance and equality i can’t even detect a hint of western influence on you.
Ironically, Jordanian islamists tend to be very tolerant of Shities. More so than those who claim to want Jordan to be a progressive westernized country. How bizzare.
This explains why Jordan is leaning to the Islamists more and more. There is simply no center and no left. What a sad state of affairs.
when an “independent centirst” jordanian newspaper like Alghad, led by a a self-proclaimed leftist, Ayman Safadi, allows such hateful articles bashing a religious minorty in Jordan to be published, this to me spells doom and gloom for Jordanian left and center.
But Ayman Safadi for those who don’t know used to work in a high profile official position before he was to lead an “independent” newspaper that is owned by someome with strong ties to the establishment.
If these are the values beeing encouraged by the establishment, which is obvious form the Al-Ghad atricle, then I am afriaid they are short sighted and are taking Jordan down with them.

You people mention KKK and intolerance towards blacks however KKK was a long time ago and one of the afro-american (or blacks) is Condi.
I am not in Jordan, but most refugees and other people which came to Jordan from Iraq are sunnis not shia.
I don’t like Syria and Iran and their policies of hatred towards everything western. However how can you people talk about democracy and liberalism if you hate not the policy of Iran or policy of Syria, but all the followers of shia faith who according to your clerics are also muslims?
Most of you are talking about palestinians, but Syria killed hundreds of palestinians when they were on their territory. Neither Egypt, nor Lebanon, nor any other muslim country apart from Jordan gave palestinians their nationality and they are still living in the camps.
It seems to me that we in the west are not your enemies however you yourself are not only our enemies but also the worst enemies of yourself. And what you accusing us of being can very well be description of most of you.
