People are losing their jobs, their savings, their investments, and perhaps their lifestyle, but few things are flourishing during this credit crunch; fast food and online dating.

According to AdAge, the number of searches on Google for words related to online dating surged an average of 20% between the second half of 2008 compared to the same period in 2007. The magazine reports also that almost 20% of single Americans use online dating sites, mostly free sites that don’t require subscriptions.

Arabian Business reports that fast food industry is doing very well during this recession, McDonald’s net profit grew up by 80% worldwide reaching to $4.3 billion, in the Middle East, McDonald’s net profit increased by 33%.

So love and food, that’s what people look for during these difficult times, pretty interesting to know.
