Al-Rai Launches a Classified Pennysaver

Jordan’s leading daily newspaper Al-Rai has launched a new classified paper, or Pennysaver as they call it in USA, the new paper will be titled “Al-Rai Al-E3lanyyah”, basically it’s a free weekly paper that specializes in classified advertising, of course in addition to the traditional print ads. According to Al-Rai, the number of copies should reach 250,000 copies that will be circulated in Amman and in some major cities across the Kingdom.

The new paper will join its rivals; Al-Waseet, Al-Mumtaz and 3ard o Talab, but personally I think it will go head-to-head with Al-Waseet, which is the oldest and most successful one, but I think it’s becoming a bit corweded with all these papers, now we have 4 classified papers, not to mention the other projects that didn’t work out, you open up your door and you find stacks of paper there, but when you think about it’s useful, not eco-friendly though.

With the launch of Al-Rai Classified, Al-Rai is publishing four different publications; Al-Rai daily newspaper, Jordan Times English-daily newspaper, and the kids magazine Hatem, in addition to the new member.
