The Lynx Growth and the Rise of Interactive and Radio entries
It’s pretty promising to witness a growth in the number of Dubai Lynx entries, according to the organizers of Middle East’s premier advertising awards, the total number of entries that were submitted to this year’s awards reached 2079 compared to 2023 last year.
What I found strange is the drop in the number of Print & TV entries, which went even lower than what it was when this competition first started in 2007, but I guess this is the average number, TV entries went up by one entry in 2008 compared to 2007, while Print dropped by 2 entries last year, so I believe it will remain around these number next year for those 2 categories, same goes for Outdoor, which witnessed an overwhelming growth last year, and a mere upturn this year, but who knows!
Other categories are enjoying a steady growth, except for the direct marketing, which dropped by 10 entries, well, does it mean that the Middle East is a purely ATL-oriented market? I guess so.
Take a look at the Dubai Lynx website.
