Well well, the more you see copycat work, the more you think to yourself: there should be some sort of a committee to stop this, you know three strikes and that’s it, you’re out buddy. Jordan’s “most awarded advertising agency” were so good to me this year, after Cozmo, and RSCN, here is a new one, the Kafa Awareness Campaign.
The campaign makes perfect sense, and personally I hope it will have a deep impact upon drivers, the idea is also great, but seems like somebody has been fishing for ready-to-go ideas at Ads of the world
I’m sure the Aussie grandpa who runs the show there is shouting: SCREW YOU, THEY ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE! The original campaign was created by a group of creative Kiwis at Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland in New Zealand.

OMG! OMG! Can’t stop laughing, this is the best video clip in years, boy he is lucky! Unusual farewell. Can’t wait till I see this on The Late Show with David Letterman, it’s gonna be hilarious, I’m sure.

Opinia Timişoarei is the most read weekly newspaper in Timişoara, Romania, and so the idea was to gather a group of people to read the latest issue of the paper in a busy location, such a brilliant idea!

2008 was full of events, with the US Presidential Elections, Beijing Olympics, Euro 2008, financial crisis and so many things. But what does Google tell us?
The US Elections was one of the most followed events this year, Sarah Palin was the fastest rising keyword on Google in 2008 worldwide, while Obama came 6th. However, in the USA, Obama was the fastest rising keyword, while Sarah Palin dominated Google’s news and images searches in the US.
Heath Ledger, the Australian actor who died earlier this year, was a hot topic on Google, ranking 5th among the fastest rising topics in 2008. His movies, Dark Knight, was the most searched movie trailer in the US.
In social networks, Facebook came first, followed by MySpace, hi5, orkut, and linkedin in the 5th position. The weird part is that the keyword “facebook login” was the 3rd fastest rising trend in 2008, why login?
It seems like the popularity of the boy band Jonas Brothers is rising, putting the band in the 10th position among Google’s fastest rising trends in 2008, and in the first position among concerts tickets in the US.
The most popular keyword in the United Arab Emirates was Dubai, the English term ranked 1st, while the Arabic came 5th, followed by UAE, ranking 2nd in English and 3rd in Arabic. YouTube is hot in the UAE, the English term ranked 9th among most popular trends, while the Arabic term made it to the list of fastest rising trends.
Hannah Montana and its main star Miley Cyrus were among the fastest rising topics this year in the UAE. Heath Ledger was a hot topic in the UAE, just like the rest of the world. Atlantis Dubai ranked 9th, that makes sense after the early buzz around the opening night. For some reason people in the UAE were searching for Bahrain Air, I’m not sure why.

The Arabian Business just released the World’s 50 Richest Arabs list, revealing that they’ve lost $25 Billion due to the finical crisis, well, they still have so much money, so let’s not worry about them. Of course the list doesn’t include Royals and Presidents.
According to the list, the 50 billionaires come from 9 Arab countries: Saudi Arabia reserved the lion’s share with 16 spots, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 8 spots, and Kuwait with 7 billionaires. Both Egypt and Lebanon reserved 5 spots each, following is Palestine with 4 spots, both Iraq and Bahrain 2 each, and finally Jordan with 1 spot.
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud maintained his leading position with $17 billion. Nasser Al Kharafi from Kuwait jumped two positions and made to the second position with $9.6 billion, Maan Al Sanea from Saudi Arabia also moved two spots up with $9.3 billion.
Saudis are dominating the top 10, Sheikh Mohammed bin Issa Al Jabber from Saudi Arabia jumped 19 spots and came 4th with $8.8, but 19 spots! What the hell did this guy do. His national, Mohammad Al Amoudi ranked 5th with the same net worth. In the 6th position comes Abdulaziz Al Ghurair from UAE with $7.8 billion.
Two Saudi families occupied the 7th and 8th positions, The Bin Laden Family and The Olayan Family with $7.2 billion each. From Bahrain in the 9th position comes The Kanoo Family with $6.1 billion. And from Palestine comes Said Khoury with $6 billion in the 10th position.
