Jordanians are so excited about Obama, you gotta see this

I flipped out when I saw this ad, many families run ads to celebrate their son’s 3rd birthday, or their daughter’s kindergarten graduation, or what so ever, but this guy was so excited about Obama’s victory, he decided to compliment the new president on a personal level, through this small ad in AdDastour newspaper :)

Nov 25: The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

On the occasion of The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the 25th of November, the Telefono Donna rape helpline of Italy circulated this controversial poster in Milan to encourage more rape victims to break their silence. According to the poster, only 4% of women who suffer sexual violence report their assailants. Many politicians in Italy found the poster offensive and inappropriate, and demanded an immediate withdrawal. You can read more on the telegraph.

The tagline reads: “Who Pays For Man’s Sins?”

Octobit ADSL… Orange 8Mb vs. Zain 8Mb

I like the visual of Orange 8Mb ADSL ad, but I found the number on the winner’s line pretty stupid, in this kind of sports, lines are supposed to be numbered in an ascending manner, so if the number of the winner was 8, the guy on his right should be 9, which means a higher speed. They could of simply put the winner in the last line, and number all lines probably. I guess they shouldn’t add the number, since the message says: “The fastest ADSL”, people will still figure it out.

What if they endorsed things that take forever to be done, such as download or video streaming; a video from YouTube, the buffering bar is burning because of the speed, inside the video a guy is running and yelling: “wait wait”, you can put it in a bubble speech, then the message could say: “overwhelming speed” or “are you up to it?” or “can you handle it?”

Both operators offer the same price, 59.90 JD’s, with Orange it’s subject to sales tax, which is 16%, I’m not sure if it’s more, with Zain it’s subject to 8% only. As far as I know, Orange has separate charges in addition to the ADSL fees. However Orange is better in terms of download limitation, with Zain it’s only 10GB a month, while Orange it’s up to 20GB, but who really needs this amount?
