Blast from the past… Early photos of the University of Jordan back in the 1960s

Yet another interesting report in Al-Arabi magazine, here is a group of photos of the University of Jordan, which opened its door back in 1962, these photos were published by the magazine in 1967.

  2. Impressive photos: not only is the University – allowing for the pictures’ promotional purpose, of course – pluralistic, only one of the 30-plus women shown are covered.

    I doubt whether that ratio would be the same some 40 years later…. is Jordanian society actually regressing?
