I don’t know if this is true or faked, but its a “Fatwa” in Saudi Arabia about gifting flowers to ill people that its forbidden. As per to this “Mufti” this act expresses weak faith in Allah and his ability to heal people, he considered it a western habit and no one should sell, buy or gift flowers - “La3an Allah Ba2e3ha wa shareha wa mohdeha”.
I don’t know what is wrong with those people who are trying to complicate Islam, they fight anything that is pleasant and nice in the name of Islam, pictures are forbidden, children toys are forbidden, TV is forbidden and many more, and now flowers. I know people who don’t have closets and beds as they believe they will be acting like western people, some people believe they should not live a comfortable life so they deserve paradise at the end.

Yesterday was a great sporty-day, I watched the final match of Wimbledon between the best two current players in world, Federer and Nadal, it was a great match I enjoyed it so much, Federer proved that he is the master of grass fields, this year is his fourth in row he managed to break Rafa’s spell who is dominating the clay fields. When they both meet in a match it is guaranteed that you will enjoy the match.
On another hand I watched the final match of World Cup 2006, it was a breathtaking match, unfortunately the referee screwed-up and gave a fully-wronged penalty for France that was well-faked and acted, French players should win Oscars for their acting in the fields, after the wrong penalty they had against Portugal, they managed to win a penalty once again against Italy, they also was so close to fool the referee one more time, but thank god he wasn’t. I think all teams should improve the acting skills for their players to gain some penalties and fouls.
Italy was so great in the first half, but they cooled-down in the rest of the match, French were so rough and aggressive, they killed the match with the too many fouls they committed, and I was so shocked of Zidan’s behavior, he is a great player and this is his last match, a player with his experience and performance should control him self more, I cheer for Italy and I will be sad if they lost but will also be happy for Zidan, he is my third all-time favorite player after Maradona and Baggio. But I would like to thank Zidan and France for defeating Brazil two times
I’m so happy for Italy as they won the fourth title and I hope they keep the good performance. As I was watching the Italians celebrating I remembered Roberto Baggio and I felt sorry and sad that he didn’t win the world cup, he is a great player and deserve to carry the cup. Forza Azzurri.
As the real-estate industry is growing in Jordan, real-estate specialized media are being launched to serve this industry offering advertisers the media tool to reach their target audience. Print sector witnesses the birth of two real-estate newspapers this year, Amlak and Aqarcum, both are weekly, tabloid and being distributed for free.
Amlak was launched on February 2006 as the first Jordanian real-estate newspaper; the design and colors of the newspaper is so neat and well organized, the font they are using in their logo is nice. The content of the newspaper is real-estate oriented and contains local and regional news, legal advice, home technology, home decorations and classifieds.
Amlak attracted lots of big names to advertise in it, banks such as Arab Bank and Standard Chartered are promoting their housing-loans offers in it, big property investment companies such as Ayla and Tala Bay are almost there in every issue, in addition to all that, furniture houses are advertising in the newspaper. Amlak comprises lots of ads and classifieds but I believe they need to present more content. I will assume that their target audience is A-level.
Aqarcum is a newly launched real-estate newspaper in Jordan; their first issue was in July 1st 2006 so I guess it’s too early to judge them. The design of this newspaper is not well organized; I felt that it’s crowded. I hate the paper they are using – I think it’s called glassy - even that it is journals official paper but I don’t like. When you see the logo you feel like it is a housing-company logo not a real-estate media since it looks like a house, for me I prefer an icon or symbol to be the logo instead of the full name of the organization.
The content of the Aqarcum is real-estate and constructions oriented, I sensed that they are targeting construction companies and offices as well not only consumers, the content includes constructions-materials prices, local and regional real-estate news, house technology, house decorations and a corner about poor people with houses that are far away from being houses. On the content level I believe Aqarcum is better than Amlak, but on advertising level Aqarcum need a lot of work to attract more big names from banking sector and property investments companies, they had Cairo Amman Bank, Bonyan, Emmar, Real Estate News Agency (RENA) and Mawared in the first issue, good but they have to get more advertising to survive.
Aqarcum have good number of classifieds and ads of house furniture and construction materials shops but on this level Amlak is better, unlike the content level. I will assume that Aqarcum target audience is B & C levels.
Speaking about real-estate media in Jordan I came across a real-estate web directory called LandsJordan.com. At the end I would like to wish everybody good luck.

Italy is the reason I hated football 4 years ago and it is the reason I liked it back! I’m a big fan of Italy, I like Argentina as well, but the problem with Italy is the defensive strategy (Katanatcho) they apply in all games, Italian defense players and goalkeepers are very good, maybe the best in the world but this is not enough you have to strike to survive.
What made me hate football is when Italy lost the game against South Korea in World Cup 2002, that game was exactly the same as the final game of Euro 2000 against France, Italy scored, lost many opportunities and played defense, in both games the other team kept striking and striking, but how long you can survive, Italy lost both games, and I lost interest in football.
But it seems Italy finally learned the lesson, yesterday in the game against Germany they attacked like never before, even after the first goal they didn’t retreat they attacked and scored again, 2 amazing goals eliminated the “Muncha”.
This world cup is getting better and better, specially after the elimination of Brazil, Zeidan made my day for the second time after 1998 victory, he is an amazing player, he is my third all-time favored player after the Argentinian Diego Maradona and the Italian Roberto Baggio, the Arab-French Zain AlDien Zeidan is the best in the world now.
What I hate about football is the mistakes committed by referees, one mistake can destroy the dreams of a whole nation, it can kill the efforts done by 22 players, coach and a whole training crew, football is a very old sport but yet the FIFA is not able to solve this issue, in basketball you have referees outside the filed, they can stop the match they can reconsider decisions, in tennis there is a main referee and about 10 around the filed watching, decisions sometimes are being revised, and even a mistake happens it is one point among tens of points, one goal in football sometime is everything, FIFA should do something to solve this.
Forza Azzurri!
